Partner Focco Lunsingh Scheurleer and associate Shalini Sadal of VanEps Kunneman VanDoorne recently contributed to a multi-jurisdictional guide on investment funds, compiled by Practical Law Global (PLG). The guide gives a summary of the current laws and regulations in Curaçao for retail funds and hedge funds. The Curaçao section was already compiled by the team of VanEps Kunneman VanDoorne in 2015, but has been updated for the new volume.

The guide has a Q&A format, so current and future entrepreneurs, investors, and other parties with business interests can quickly find answers to questions on the legal aspects of putting funds on the market, the applicable restrictions, and the expected changes for investment funds in Curaçao. Responsible for other chapters (jurisdictions) are well-known international firms such as DLA Piper, Jones Day, and Eversheds. Practical Law Global is a legal publisher taken over by Thomson Reuters in 2013. PLG publishes multi-jurisdictional guides in fifty fields of law, varying from family law to financing of takeovers.
